RENT CONTROL EXEMPTION: The multiple dwelling in which the apartment you are renting or seeking to rent is located is exempt from Rent Control or Rent Leveling for a period of thirty (30) years from the date the certificate of occupancy was issued or is not subject to Rent Control or Rent Leveling at all for another reason pursuant to, among other things, N.J.S.A. 2A:42-84.1 et. seq. This means that the rent you are being charged is not subject to Rent Control restrictions. You, as Tenant, acknowledge that your dapartment is not subject to rent control or stabilization restrictions and shall waive any and all claims with respect thereto. Your rent and additional rent charges are at free market rates pursuant to the terms of your Lease with Landlord and applicable law pertaining to free market apartments.

This Addendum confirms, and your Landlord notifies you, that this Property, your Unit and your Tenancy is not subject to any rent control, rent stabilization or rent restriction law promulgated by any state, local or other governmental or regulatory body pursuant to, among other things, N.J.S.A. 2A:42-84.3 and N.J.S.A. 2A:42-84.1 et. seq
